Staffing Update and Office Site hours

We hear you but we ask that you also hear us! We will not be going back to a full time office manager on site but we have made other accommodations that we believe provides the same, or better support that is needed.

We can appreciate that residents got comfortable with having a Site Manager on site but for those long term residents you will also remember that this was not always the case. In order for us to have a full time site person we actually cancelled the cleaning contract and brought the cleaning in house. Our previous Site Managers were never just site administration, it was a shared position with cleaning. We made the decision to go back to a cleaning company due to staffing issues for having regular cleaners. We tried to maintain both but there was simply not enough work for a full time site staff.
When COVID happened it showed our have staff remotely and make attempts to automate things to the benefit of the complex. The site has not had office hours for almost two years until the past 6 months to which it was decided that the Board would cover these regular shifts. We do have a part time administrative person that works daily, but it is offsite. I reiterate, there is not enough work to have a full time person on site. The full time Property Management company is GoSmart and what they are paid for. However, you will also note that we will be automating many things via the new website, secure boxes and the parking application via the website. This will allow for greater access and controls on a more regular basis and we remind people that we actually don’t have an office, we have an electrical room that we have a desk in it.
