Visitor Parking
Rules, passes, and policies for visitor parking at South Pointe Condos.
Important
Visitor parking is for visitors only. It is not short-term parking for Owners, Tenants, or Occupants. Misuse of visitor parking is the most frequent Bylaw infraction at South Pointe Condos.
Overview
South Pointe Condos provides designated visitor parking stalls for the convenience of bona fide visitors to our community. These stalls ensure that your guests have a place to park when they come to visit you.
Visitor Parking Pass
Each Unit is issued one BLUE Visitor Parking Pass
Older green passes are no longer valid.
- The pass must be clearly displayed on the dashboard whenever a visitor’s vehicle is parked in a visitor stall.
- Passes are registered to your Unit. You are responsible for its proper use.
Usage Limits
To ensure fair access to visitor parking for all residents, the following limits apply:
| Limit Type | Restriction |
|---|---|
| Monthly Limit | Maximum 8 uses per month (non-consecutive days) |
| Consecutive Stay | Maximum 2 consecutive nights per vehicle |
| 7-Day Period | Maximum 3 nights in any 7-day period per vehicle |
Exceeding the Limits
If your visitor parking usage exceeds the permitted limits:
- A daily parking fee of $40 will be charged for each day (or partial day) beyond the 8-use monthly limit.
- Additional monetary sanctions may be assessed to your account.
- Repeated violations may result in suspension of your Visitor Parking Pass.
Long-Term Visitors
Expecting guests for an extended stay? If you have visitors who will need parking for more than eight (8) days, you must apply for a Long-Term Visitor Permit through Property Management before their arrival. These permits require Board approval and are granted for legitimate circumstances only.
Residents Cannot Use Visitor Parking
Owners, Tenants, and Occupants are not permitted to use visitor parking stalls under most circumstances. The only exception is if you have received prior written approval from the Board via Property Management for special circumstances.
If you need additional parking beyond your assigned stall, please contact Property Management to enquire about rental options, subject to availability.
Enforcement
Visitor parking is monitored through license plate and/or valid pass tracking. Vehicles parked in visitor stalls without a valid pass, or vehicles exceeding limits, may be:
- Tagged with a warning notice
- Subject to monetary sanctions charged to the associated Unit
- Towed at the vehicle owner’s expense
- Visitor Parking Privileges for the License Plate and Pass will be suspended for 90 days upon violation of the parking rules
